The 2011–12 Baylor Bears basketball team represents Baylor University in the 2011–12 men's college basketball season. This is head coach Scott Drew's ninth season at Baylor. The Bears compete in the Big 12 Conference and play their home games at the Ferrell Center.

The Baylor Bears headed North to Canada and participated in the Canadian Foreign Tour to begin their pre-season August 12-15. The Bears went 3-1 during the tour. After returning home the Bears were off until NCAA sanctioned practice resumed in October. The Bears concluded their pre-season by facing Abilene Christian University. The Bears found themselves ranked #12 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Pre-season polls.
